Kaziranga-Shilong Tour


Kaziranga National Park, is a national park in the Golaghat and Nagaon districts of the state of Assam, India. The sanctuary, which hosts two-thirds of the world's great one-horned rhinoceroses, is a World Heritage Site.

Shillong is a hill station in northeast India and capital of the state of Meghalaya. It’s known for the manicured gardens at Lady Hydari Park. Nearby, Ward’s Lake is surrounded by walking trails. North, the Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures features displays on the region’s native people. Waterfalls include the Elephant Falls to the southwest. East of here, forested Shillong Peak offers city views.


Day 1

Guwahati to Kaziranga

Upon arrival at the Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, you will be transferred to Kaziranga National Park by road. The park is the home to many exotic wildlife species including the one-horned Rhino. After the tour of the National Park, head to your hotel in Kaziranga. In the evening, you are free to explore the local markets or spend time at your leisure. Enjoy the overnight stay at your hotel in Kaziranga. 

Day 2


Early in the morning, leave for the Elephant Ride in the Central Kohora or the Western Bagori Range. The ride timings are 05:30 A.M, 06:30 A.M or 07:30 A.M. (Optional: Unless it is mentioned in the inclusion). During the ride, you can sight the one-horned Rhino, Hog Deer, Swamp Deer. Asiatic Water Buffalo, Asiatic Elephants and depending on your luck, the Royal Bengal Tiger. After your elephant excursion, return to your hotel or resort for breakfast. Post breakfast, visit the Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park. At 2.00 PM, get ready for a jeep safari or game drive in Central Range or Western Range. Return to your hotel and tuck into your comfortable bed for the night. 

Day 3

Kaziranga to Shillong

Enjoy a delicious breakfast, check out from the hotel in Kaziranga and head to Shillong, the Scotland of the East. Shillong is a beautiful city surrounded by the Khasi Hills. On your way to Shillong, visit the Umiam Lake and Nehru Park. Commonly known as Barapani Lake, it is the biggest artificial lake in the state. Built on the reservoir of Umiam Hydro Electric Project, this lake is blanketed in the beauty of the verdant Sylvan Hills and calm blue skies. It has a water sports complex where you can enjoy boating and other water activities. It is also popular among the locals and tourists as a picnic spot and fishing destination. In the evening, pay a visit to the Police Bazaar and spend some time exploring the market on your own. Spend the night at your hotel in Shillong. 

Day 4

Local sightseeing in Shillong

Savour in a delectable breakfast and then head out for a day-long tour of Shillong. It is a gorgeous city that lies in the centre of the plateau and is surrounded by the Khasi Hills. The different tourist locations that lie en route include The Don Bosco Museum of Indigenous Culture, Ward's Lake, Lady Hydari Park, Golf Course, Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak. After your sightseeing trip has concluded, return to your hotel to rest for the night. 

Day 5

Shillong to Guwahati

Relish a delicious breakfast and leave by road to reach Guwahati. The major tourist attractions in Guwahati are Maa Kamakhya Temple, Basistha Temple, Tirupati Balaji Temple, the Second World War Cemetery, State Museum, State Zoo and Botanical Garden, Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra (an Assamese cultural museum), Bhupen Hazarika Cemetery and the Regional Science Museum. Umananda Temple on the Peacock Island is another attraction worth visiting. It is a smallest river island of Asia and is only accessible through ferries. The Shiva Temple on the island is popular among tourists. After the sightseeing tour, return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Guwahati. You can go cruising on the Sunset River Cruise on River Brahmaputra. It is available only on direct payment basis.

Day 6

Departure from Guwahati

Pack your bags, and proceed to check out from the hotel. As per your flight timings, depart for the airport.
